Terms of Use
Last updated: 5 November 2026
ZapDrop lets you send files between your phone and your Mac on the same Wi-Fi network. By using the ZapDrop apps you agree to these terms. The iPhone app is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
The product
ZapDrop for Mac acts as a local server. Phones pair with it using a 6-digit code shown on the Mac. Transfers stay on your local network; ZapDrop does not relay files over the internet and does not provide cloud storage.
Your responsibilities
- Only send files you have the right to send.
- Use ZapDrop on networks you trust, and only share the pairing code with people whose devices you want to connect.
- Quit ZapDrop on the Mac when you don't want it reachable on your network.
- Do not use ZapDrop to distribute malware or to break the law.
No warranty
ZapDrop is provided "as is", free of charge. We do not promise that transfers will succeed on every network, that files will never be damaged, or that the software is free of defects. Keep your own copies of important files.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for lost or damaged files, downtime, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of ZapDrop.
Changes
These terms may change as the product changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
